happy solstice!

whip out your Daisy Dukes in honor of this shortest day of the year--of course you'll probably want to wear them with long underwear and snowpants if you're living in Wisconsin...

  5. Hey - we got up to a balmy 9 today. Of course, the 35 mph winds knocked back the windchill to around -20.

    Happy Winter Solstice.

  6. Snicker. My thermometer says 1.8 above zero; that's before the wind chill. No "Dukes" for this Daisy!

  8. If I had legs like Catherine Bach, I might parade around in Daisy Dukes even on a frigid day like today. I am, however, wearing yoga pants, fuzzy socks and slippers. LOL

I was forced to go to the mall today and I saw a girl there wearing a micro-mini skirt with bare legs! The outside temp was about 5 with 25-30 mph winds. What was she thinking?? Of course, she was probably all of 16 so she wasn't thinking...I'm getting old, dammit.

Happy Winter Soltice - the days get longer now. :)

    And to you, too!

  11. And, if you live in Portland, Oregon.

We've had the largest amount of snowfall that I've ever seen in my life time.
