hopelessly devoted

The final episodes of this delightful show are airing at 9:00 Saturday nights. I caught last week's and while joy swelled in my heart at being back at the Pie Hole with Chuck, Ned, Emerson and Olive, the sense of future disappointment niggled in my brain. Alas, too soon the final episode will air, the series will end and the vast wasteland of Total Crap that comprises network TV will be nearly complete.
If I had Ned's powers, I'd touch this TV show and turn around and kill off The Bachelorette or Here Come the Newlyweds. Is it fair to kill TV shows I've never watched? I don't care. I don't care because I love Pushing Daisies and if loving that show makes me want to do wrong things then I don't want to be right. You understand, right?

  4. I love it too. I just stumbled upon the latest episode over abc.com last night. It was so wonderful to be back with the gang.

I'm all for getting rid of ANY reality tv show. I much prefer shows with a plot line, characters, and dialogue.

  5. I heart this show! And can't believe they canceled it. It was the perfect mix of romance, charm and Kristen Chenoweth's singing. That gal's got some pipes on her! I'll be glued to the finale to see how they end it. Just found out they also canceled another one I watched, "Without a Trace." It will probably be taken over by a reality show about how to hide shopping from your spouse...

Congrats on the big shiny new washer. Such things do tend to brighten our days!

  6. ... Actually, they just phoned me this morning. They're replacing your favorite show with a reality series called

    "The Bloggerette"

It's going to track seven lucky women bloggers as they type their way to larger hips. I just *know* it'll be riveting.

They're also considering a new show called

    "Watching Paint Dry"

    but it's still in development.

  7. haha I'm sorry. I watched a little bit of it when it first started but couldn't get in to it. But yeah it sucks when they take your shows off.

Also you won an award on my blog. :)

  9. I love this show! It reminds me of the quirky magic of Big Fish. Did you ever watch Northern Exposure? It's another favorite of mine.

  15. The fact that this show is canceled and "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" is on the air dims my faith in humanity.

  17. I liked it, but they lost me midway. I just got too irritated by Ned and Chuck to stick with it. On the other hand... Have you seen Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day? Lurved this movie and the actor who played Ned is very appealing in it.
