she's in the rough!

The clan is headed to Iowa for the weekend to spend quality time with Mr. D's family and friends. Green Girl dusted off her golf clubs for two different tee times and she hasn't played in over a year. You might want to plug your ears and keep the kids at a distance if you'll be anywhere around central Iowa because it'll probably get pretty ugly. She's been known to creatively curse after whiffing and shanking and slicing--and yes, she packed six extra sleeves of balls. Sheesh. She's no novice, you know.

  1. I live in GolfLand USA, and I have never golfed a day in my life. My hubby loves it and wants to get me into it too, but I just don't know. I once heard a quote (can't remember who said it) that golf is "a great way to ruin a perfectly good walk." ;)
    Have fun!

  3. I've only played a handful of times. It's a great game... what, with the windmills and the tunnels and everything.

Funny, though. All I ever used was a putter.

  7. Oh I'm playing with my husband tomorrow - golf.

I haven't played since I was a kid but he's been wanting me to take up the sport - so I'm game but I love Kat's quote - a great way to ruin a perfectly good walk ;) we'll see.

    Have a Great trip!!!

  14. I haven't played golf in nearly 8 years. I was just looking at my pathetic clubs in the basement today. One of these days golf will be "baby sitter worthy." For now, I'll stick to dinner and a movie. Have a great time and let us know how you did!
