muttonchop monday

We're battening down the hatches for a blizzard tomorrow. I have to find snowpants. That makes me think of bumping into Colin Firth on a snowy London street wearing a scarf around his neck.
Snow makes me think of Christmas and then I think of Colin Firth wearing a snowman tie whilst awkwardly saying the wrong thing at a cocktail party.

And that naturally extends to thinking of Colin Firth as Mark Darcy wearing a perfectly awful Christmas sweater.

Mr. Darcy. *Swoon*

  1. Oh, I'm swooning with you. Doesn't he have a new movie coming out? I'm going to go look that up.

  3. Oh, thank you! A much more pleasant subject to fill my head than the Monday/overcastAGAIN/firstsnowoftheseason/didImentionMonday? grumpiness that was threatening to take over.

My goodness, I do like Colin Firth - especially in Bridget Jones' Diary!

Do you need a license to hunt the elusive snowpant in WI?

  4. 1. Hooray for Muttonchop Monday! I will be swooning until Wednesday.

    2. What are snowpants? Are they kin to skipants? If they conjure up images of Mr. Firth/Darcy, I might have to get myself a pair.

  6. London isn't snowy right now, alas. More sort of haily and sleety. And icky. But I get a lot of mileage out of watching the hail bounce on the trampoline!

  13. Sigh. Colin Firth as Mr Darcy is defintitely swoon worthy. It's been at least 6 months since I've seen that version of Pride and Prejudice. It may be time to break that out again.

  14. As we ride out this snow apocalypse I’d like to remind you all that the double digit countdown to summer is within reach. 2 kids & husband will be home. Hold me.
