  1. ok, i don't want to freak out on you or anything but are those pictures from right now? like today? do you still have snow? actual snow? that kind of freaks me out. i guess it's official, i have acclimated to the south -- the daffodils are way past blooming, the cherry trees just past their peak and it's in the high 70s today.

ducking while you throw a snowball.

  2. Add to it all the guys I saw this morning walking down the frosty street and wearing shorts! (I'm from Wisconsin, too.)

  3. ha ha - that looks like our back yard, too. And I just heard we're getting more on Thursday.

Spring WILL come. It has to!

  4. Six to eightteen inches are expected in the Northwoods. And I was so hoping it would all be gone by the time I got back. I'll just have to soak up as much sun as I can while I am here.

  5. Ha ha ha ha ha! We have the same signs of spring! Today is the third day in a row of snowfall and blowing snow... Still snowing... I give up. I'm moving to Aruba.

  6. Wow! I don't envy you the snow, but I do envy you the expanse! My backyard is very green right now... and very tiny!

  7. We're at my brother's house in Illinois; 34 and icy rain.

  8. Its depressing, isn't it? We're getting a nasty mix here. I can hear the sleet on the windows and it hurts when you go out in it.

  9. Hahahaha -- looks just like here. We still have a good foot of snow on parts of our lawn. The back must get more sun because it's starting to thaw out a little. But the robins are back, so that's a sign, right? Pretty soon the bears will be out too ...

  11. Oy and vey. More snow...

But as sure as the Earth revolves around the sun, spring WILL come. Really! Keep the faith.

(In 80's here today -- had to turn on the ceiling fans.)

  13. What? You mean because you have less than 2' of snow on the ground? Yep, spring is definitely around the corner.

  14. I was wondering if you'd just hung the swing in a sign of optimism.

  15. Yep. Looks like that at my house too. We went to an indoor water park today and watched it snowing outside through the huge windows. So crazy.

    Stupid snow.

  16. Wisconsin looks cold. Unseasonably cold by North Texas standards where snow should generally come and go within a 1-2 day time span...
