frazzled champion!

Doesn't "Champion" sound cooler than "winner?"  Kind of victorious and regal, not random and lucky, although I did draw one lucky winner at random to receive a copy of Alyssa Goodnight's Austentatious.
And our Frazzled Champion certainly has her hands full between 3 daughters and a catering business!  Let's give it up for JUST ASK BETH!  (cue wild applause)

I'm going to return to my part-time job as scheduling coordinator for Team Testosterone.  Get this:  tonight Mr. D has a game, Mr. T has a game, Mr. B has practice and Mr. G has practice--between 4:20 and 7:00 I'll be running the shuttle between fields, supplying them with uniforms, water bottles, gloves, bats and moral support.  You bet we're getting sub sandwiches for supper.

Until then I'm trying to squash their various practice and game schedules into the calendar.  Mr. G's Saturday morning practice just got bumped to Friday night from 5:30-7.  Mr. T has a game from 4:45-6:30ish.  I have tickets to see West Side Story and go to dinner--my birthday gift from Mr. D.  When I'm done hyperventilating, I'm going to start tracking down a babysitter with a drivers' license--hopefully Speedy doesn't have big plans this Friday night!

Fan Form Update:  Did a trial run of fan form wearing authentic kimono from Japan.  If I pin it shut modestly (just above the knee), I cannot do the kicks and stances in the form.  If I leave the flaps open, I will leave nothing to the imagination when performing the form (yowza!).  This is one challenge I may have to prudently/prudishly back away from...

  1. sounds like you have a full schedule.
well, lets see, is there anyway to wear a full skirt under the kimono? or shorts or cullots? (rats spell check has no clue, and neither do I, you know, those shorts with skirt parts)

  2. how do you keep it all straight?!? I'd have the wrong kid at the wrong field every time! Throw on a pair of those spandexy yoga pants on underneath and you'll be grand!!!!

  3. I would also suggest something akin to dance shorts, like my daughter wears. While hers are rather expensive, I think you could pretty much the same thing by just wearing tight, short athletic shorts???

  4. Enjoy West Side Story! I predict you'll come out singing and/or dancing.

  5. I'd go for something like bike shorts or dancer's shorts under the kimono.

LOVE West Side Story. Have a good time.

  6. You need a driver. I need one some days too. Maybe we could split one (overlooking the distance between Wisconson and Virginia of course)?

  7. I wearing running/bike shorts under my dresses and skirts. Could you wear something like under your kimono?

  8. Interesting dilemma you have there. Is a kimono like a kilt in that you cannot wear anything underneath it?

I am overwhelmed just reading about your schedule. And very happy all of a sudden that I only have one child.

Oh, and I have been a major comment slacker lately but I really love your header! Very schnazzy.

  9. Are you going to see West Side Story at the PAC? If so, you should know that I'm experiencing extreme jealousy! I saw Jersey Boys there last year and it was great. West Side Story is great, in and of itself, so at the PAC it would be amazing. I hope you get a little break from all the running around. You'll need some rest, so you don't fall asleep at the show.

  11. Haha! Made me laugh to say you are getting subs for dinner cuz that is EXACTLY what we do when we are running around crazy some nights. :)
I say you wear biking shorts (spandex) under the kimono so you can do your kicks but no one gets to see your undies.

  12. I look forward to reading your review of West Side Story, such a great play. There seems to be a majority vote for spandex undergarments for your kimono, and I would have to agree, that or leggings or anything spandex (gotta love the spandex!)
