is here. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Mr. G took the pictures (he got a little creative and likes to sit far across the room from his subject), I did some editing. What you must know is that the coat fits me PERFECTLY and is wonderfully made. It shows no sign of wear, has the most delightful wooden buttons and each stitch is firm and tight. I only had to restitch one button. My beautiful vintage suede leather coat smells faintly of mothballs, but I plan on wearing it lots and lots so the smell will wear off eventually. I'm so damn pleased with it I could cry, but I won't because the tears would freeze to my face.
Who needs your pretentious catalog, Robert Redford? I have Etsy!
Hooray! Fantastic fashion shots, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's GREAT!
ReplyDelete(am all about the caps today)
I LOVE THIS!!!!
ReplyDeletePlease tell me you have some fabulous accessories (hat, scarf, gloves) to go with this item of perfection.
That coat is super cute, and way cooler than anything in the Sundance catalog. Great find, and it looks really good on you.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely love it......would be perfect with my new knee high vintage leather moccasins I bought on Etsy :)
ReplyDelete!!!!!
ReplyDeleteACK!!!!!! It IS perfect! I love it! You look fabulous in it. And so happy!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteStunning! =) I have only ever ordered one thing as a gift for someone from etsy and never had the chance to see it - I'm so nervous about it! I need a green dress and since my body is not a normal shape, I have been tying w/the idea of having someone on etsy make me one. I'm glad things worked out for you and you have bolstered my mustard seed of confidence!
ReplyDelete*toying* not tying...it's so cold in this shack my fingers shake when I type!!
ReplyDeletethat looks fantastic on you. a wonderful find.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I love the wooden buttons.
ReplyDeleteI bought a brown suede jacket on super-sale a few years back--more blazer-ish, though--and I LOVE IT. It's very warm and windproof and goes with everything. You will NEVER regret buying that coat!
ReplyDeleteThat looks fabulous --and it's a very timeless look.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, it's fantastic. No wonder you're excited!
ReplyDeleteThat coat is FABULOUS! How smart you are to have purchased it.
ReplyDeleteThat coat is gorgeous! I want one. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Isn't Etsy fun?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that it fits so well and that it is in good shape. If you wear a perfume regularly, it will take care of the smell. It should also disappear as you wear it outside a lot. The cold wind will blow it away. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! We need to go thrift shopping together some day. We can outfit our boys and ourselves!
ReplyDeleteI love your vintage coat, and it looks completely stylish and modern!!! Job well done.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! (You are, too.)
ReplyDeleteYes it is a really nice coat, I am pleased to hear that it fits well....
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful-- You and the coat!
ReplyDeleteYEAH.

ReplyDeleteAnd I'll bet, right now, that it's actually too cold for it. :-) How ya doin' there, Wisconsin? Four degrees or thereabouts?!

I love it! Way to go Melissa with finding a deal.
ReplyDeleteFantastic coat and it looks like it fits perfectly! At least the moths won't nibble on it for a bit ;-).
ReplyDeleteJealous.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your beauty and of that coat. Seriously, all of it!
I don't particularly find beauty in the smell of mothballs, but I think you're right, the more you wear it -the better it will get.
